All students are welcome to drop by during our open hours
to work with a graduate student tutor as long as there are tutors in the studio who have open appointment times.
Students may also come in and make appointments
for later in the day or up to a week in advance. Students may also make arrangements
to keep meeting with the same tutor throughout the semester by making a
standing appointment using our online scheduling system.
Our tutors work with both undergraduate and graduate students. Undergraduate sessions are limited to 30 minutes, and graduate students may work with a tutor for up to 60 minutes.
Most tutorials average 20 to 25 minutes. Tutorials begin
on the hour and half hour, so students arriving more than 5 minutes
after those times may be asked to reschedule their appointment for another time.
While walk-in students are welcome, all students who work with tutors will register in our online scheduling system. Walk-ins are accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis, and there is a dedicated computer workstation in the reception area so that walk-in students may make an appointment with the next available tutor.
Note: Because our appointments begin on the half-hour and last about 25 minutes, the last
session begins a half-hour before closing time. For example, on Tuesday evening, when
the studio closes at 7:00 p.m., final sessions begin at 6:30 p.m. Students coming into
the studio after the final sessions begin will be able to make appointments for
another day.
Changing or Canceling an appointment: Should you need to make a change to an appointment, just log in to the online scheduling system; you will be able to either cancel or modify your appointment.
